Bredbandsgruppen (BBG) acquired Tech Trooper, renames itself in Smartify.

BBG, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing customer support, announced in a press release that it acquired its smaller, also Sweden-based, competitor, Tech Troopers.

FInancial details of the transaction remained undisclosed. Following the deal, BBG will change its name to Smartify.

BBG, formerly known as Bredbandsgruppen, founded in 2007 and led by CEO Johan Ågren, provides support and installation assistance to other companies. The company works with clients including Telia, Telenor, Huawei and Viasat and generated a turnover of SEK 32 million ($3.3M) in 2018.

Tech Troopers, founded in 2015 and led by CEO Jerker Vannerus, is also a provider of customer support. The company is losing money, at a yearly turnover of SEK 2.3 million ($240k) in 2018. The company was owned by Swedish angel investor Bo Mattsson.
