Lime announced the acquisition of the Swedish CRM startup Sparta.
Lime Technologies, a Lund, Sweden-based company providing CRM solutions in the Nordics, announced the acquisition of Sparta, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing similar solutions.
The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, while the transaction is made for 100% ownership in order to strengthen Lime's product portfolio.
Sparta, founded in 2013 by James Pember, helps businesses improve their results with digital sales competitions, among others, on their online platform. The company has 6 employees, and in 2017 had a SEK 7M ($830k) turnover, while losing 2.
Sparta has raised about $600k in capital investment to the company, provided by Almi and Swedish angel investors including Henrik Torstensson, Johan Attby, Jonathan Forster, Lars Lindgren and Martin Ingemansson. All of them now exit the company.
Lime Technologies, founded as Lundalogik in 1990 and led by CEO Erik Syrén, is one of the CRM market leaders in the Nordics. The company has a turnover of aabout SEK 200M ($23M) and its solutions are used by by over 50,000 users throughout the Nordic region. Lime, headquartered in Lund and with offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo and Helsinki, offers four products: Lime CRM, Lime Easy, Lime Go and Lime Fields.
The acquisition announcement comes shortly after Lime's main investor, Monterro, announced selling 10% of Lime Technologies to Swedbank Robur and Martin Gren.
