Maki, an Aarhus, Denmark-based distributor of toys and games in the Nordic region, was acquired by the Danish private equity fund Capidea

The deal has fnancial specifics undisclosed and was made for controlling shareholding in Maki Investment ApS and thereby indirectly in Maki A/S. The deal was made with existing owners Industri Udvikling, which bought the company in 2017.

Maki, founded in 1995, is the largest distributor of toys and games in the Nordic region, primarily targeted at the 0-8 age group. The company has a portfolio of more than 60 strong international toy brands and their toys and games are available in more than 5,000 retail chains, webshops and independent retailers.
