TrueLayer Limited secures an additional $25 million Series C from Tencent, Temasek, Northzone, Anthemis and Connect Ventures.
TrueLayer Limited, a London, UK-based SAAS operator of a platform used to build financial apps that connect to bank data, verify accounts, and access transactions in real time, announced an additional $25 million investment, under its Series C closed in 2019.
The money was raised from existing investors Tencent, Temasek, Northzone, Anthemis and Connect Ventures.
TrueLayer, founded in 2016 by Francesco Simoneschi and Luca Martinetti, makes it easy to integrate financial services like open banking into any app or website, anywhere in the world. The company built an API platform designed for individuals to share or aggregate their financial information from different providers and at the same time helping companies to securely and efficiently access their customers' bank accounts to share financial data as well as make payments and validate their identity.
In 2016, TrueLayer became one of the first UK companies to be authorised and registered by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to provide account information and payment initiation services under Open Banking and PSD2.
Today, our platform accounts for more than half of all Open Banking traffic in the UK.
Prior to this round, TrueLayer raised $47 million.
