Wallife raised raised $4.8 million.
Wallife, a Rome, Italy-based insurtech startup, announced securing equity funding worth $4.8 million.
The money was raised locally from Italy from investors including included Wellness Holding of Nerio Alessandri, (founder and president of Technogym), Antonio Assereto (Proximity Capital) and Andrea Dini (Aptafin).
The proceeds will be used for R&D, in order to to study and patent new ways to protect individuals and as well as for further development of the insurance platform.
Wallife, founded in 2021 by Fabio Sbianchi, and led by CEO Maria Enrica Angelone, developed an insurance business selling consumer protection against risks arising from technological innovation and scientific progress in the three areas of genetics (preservation of biological material and genetic identity), biometrics (fingerprints, facial recognition), and biohacking (use of technologies inside the human body, such as prostheses and implantable medical devices).
