Gigital to raise SEK 5 million from angel investors from Sweden and Almi Invest.
Gigital, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup working on a digital solution for booking artists for professional and private events, announced that it secured a capital funding round totalling SEK 5 million ($600k).
The money was raised from investors from Sweden, including angels Jonas Siljemark (former CEO of Warner Music Nordic), Erik Segerborg (formerly with Hemnet) and Per Victor (Firstvet).
The round was joined by existing shareholders Petter Nylander (former CEO of TV3), Boel Rydenå Swartling (former CEO of Viacom Nordics), and Propel Capital.
Gigital, founded in 2017 by CEO Givar Shabani, Daniel Gomez and sibling Viktoryia Khromchanka and Andrei Khromchanka, developed a digital marketplace linking artists and event organizers, helping them with the booking process. In addition to booking, the platform also offers certain administrative services such as contract tools, collective invoices for several gigs, division of compensation between several band members, calendar management and some presentation of artists.
Gigital currently has about 300 bookable artists on its platform and target customers include hotels, restaurants, clubs and events where the customer is recurring and the artist is often not known enough to be able to sell concert tickets in the traditional sense. The company previously raised money in 2018.
